The processing of the personal data requested for registration on the ItIN.lu portal will be
based on the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency to protect the fundamental rights and
freedoms of individuals.

The personal data provided during registration on the portal ItN.lu will be entered
into a database
of Italian researchers and professionals working in Luxembourg, which will be
used to:

foster contacts among the portal’s users and promote exchanges of information in the
fields of science, technology and innovation;

allow the Embassy to send users newsletters and invitations to events that they may
find interesting.

The provision of data during registration as well as any further data processing is
subject to consent. Any refusal to the data processing will not allow the interested party to access
the service.

Data processing, carried out by personnel specifically appointed by the Embassy of
Italy, will be carried out in an automated way.

The data provided by the interested party during registration will be made available
exclusively to the other users of the portal ItIN.lu.

The provided data will be deleted from the portal and the database upon request of
the interested party. Furthermore, five years after registration to the portal, the Embassy of Italy
will ask the users for online confirmation of their interest in the service and will
delete
any
personal data of those parties who fail to provide confirmation, resulting from a lack of response
or an express refusal.

The interested party may request access to his/her own personal data and, under
the conditions set out in the current legislation, he/she may request their modification. Within
the limits set by the law and without prejudice to any possible consequences for the
provision
of the service, he/she may also request the
cancellation of such data, as well as the limitation of the treatment or the
opposition to treatment. In these cases, the interested party must submit a specific request to
the facilities indicated in point 1, notifying the RPD of MAECI for information.
